Kenner released Desaad and other evil Darkseid henchmen for the 2nd series figure wave released in 1985. While the figure is finely crafted, the "Power Action Shock Squeeze" doesn't win the most exciting Super Powers action feature award. Despite debuting in the 2nd series collection, Desaad re-appeared along with six other 2nd series characters on offerless 33-back cards in the final 1986 3rd series wave. Desaad exists on the following four domestic (US) Kenner card types:

• 2nd Series 23-Back (Fan Club Offer)
• 2nd Series 23-Back (Superman Cape Offer)
• 2nd Series 23-Back (Clark Kent Offer w/ Fan Club Offer)
• 3rd Series 33-Back (Offerless)

Kenner Canada released 31 of the 33 carded Super Powers figures in bilingual packaging featuring both English and French text to comply with bilingual packaging laws in the country. As such, Desaad saw release on the lone 2nd series Kenner Canada card style:

• 2nd Series (Superman Cape Offer)

Children residing outside the US and Canada collected Super Powers action figures distributed by additional international companies. Unfortunately Desaad did not enjoy release in any non-US country except Canada and possibly Australia.
