This figure is a true piece of Super Powers history. It is a hardcopy created to pitch the proposed line by Kenner to DC to secure the license. It strikingly resembles Superman, but doesn't necessarily represent this character. The sculpting for this figure was rough, but served its purpose. Throughout portions of the figure you can see areas that capture the handcrafting from the sculpt.
Above you can see the figure in its unassembled state. Notice the pins are actually part of the head and limbs. This piece is made of a brownish urethane referred to as carbalon. I feel very fortunate to have this piece of Super Powers history in my collection.
