Robin Painted First Shot

Above, we see an example of a first shot Robin. First Shots are used to test the steel production molds. They are sometimes referred to as "test shots", since they are testing the mold prior to mass production. First shots are often chracterized by a lack of copyright markings and/or holes in the feet.

You'll notice this piece lacks the copyrights, which would later be etched into the steel mold. Special thanks to Dan Flarida for showcasing this first shot and a few other wonderful pieces from his collection on this site.
